Beta-sitosterol is a plant sterol that inhibits intestinal absorption of dietary cholesterol. It also affects an enzyme that results in the reduction of LDL.

Beta-sitosterol acts as an anti-inflammatory and inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the prostate.
  
Citrus pectin is made of fiber found in the white rind of citrus fruits. It can also be used to lower cholesterol by a mechanism of blocking its dietary absorption. In addition, it was found to inhibit the formation of atherosclerotic plaque on the walls of blood vessels. 

Recommended Dosage:
1-2 tablets 30 minutes before a meal with a full 8 oz. glass of water. It should be taken in equal doses at least 3 times per day, whether meals are skipped or not.
